These are cool watches that are very seldom seen even by the seasoned Omega collector.
It has a Gerald Genta-style case with diver's bezel, refinished black dial, automatic Omega caliber 1481 movement, and distinctively styled original bracelet.
It presents in beautiful condition. The case is close to mint. The bezel still retains its original factory finish and has a few light scratches between 3 o'clock and 5 o'clock that at times are visible and at times aren't depending on the viewing angle. We were able to get them to show up very clearly to show them in the photographs. At other angles they are barely visible.
The dial has had a true been expert refinishing and the printing could pass as Omega factory done to the naked eye. The case presents as just short of mint.
The movement has just been fully serviced.
Included with the purchase is a one-year warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.
Omega Geneve line:
Beginning in 1953 Omega placed the name Geneve on the dials of some of the members of the 30mm collection which at the time were produced in the company's workshops in Geneve - to put Geneve on a dial of a watch certain components and processes must take place in Geneve. According to Omega the name referred to the Genevan Observatory where the early 30mm calibers set a number of records.
