With the theme of the mysterious environment and wonders of night diving, three modern re-interpretations of the 1965, 1968 and 1970 Seiko diver's watches will join The Black Series of the line in 2022 with limited production quantities, they are equipped with Caliber 6R35 which is able to deliver a power reserve of 70 hours.
The whole series is equipped with a matt black case that represents the darkness and silence of the deep sea at night, and the orange highlight colour is inspired by the torch lights that illuminate the darkness by divers while hunting down the unknown world.
The SLA061J1 is a Modern Contemporary design of the "1970 Mechanical Diver's Watch", the original model was released in 1970. The very special dial on this SLA061 adopted a pattern that expresses the sand crest drawn on the seabed.
The original model released in 1970 has a unique streamlined form and tough specs and has been loved by fans all over the world for a long time. This model has evolved modernly while reflecting this original design. Moreover, this is the first metal bracelet model of "The Black Series", it also comes with a black reinforced silicone strap.
